You can create it directly in the browser without installing any apps or programs. You download the .ktheme file for iPhone and the installable .apk file for Android. All pieces are original creations with no copyright concerns, and you can create and download them immediately without signing up.

How to use it?

Add pieces
Add lets you pick where a piece goes — backgrounds on the home, chat room or splash; speech bubbles on your side or theirs; icons across the five tabs (normal and pressed). You can also move pieces between compatible slots from your basket.
Tap Make
Put your pieces together, tap Make, and there it is — a preview of your own theme.
Apply to KakaoTalk
Download the file that matches your phone. On iPhone you get a .ktheme file — open it and KakaoTalk picks it up straight away. On Android you get an .apk — install it, then choose your Tesil theme under More → Settings → Theme in KakaoTalk.

Are Tesil's themes copyright-safe?
Yes. Every piece on Tesil is original artwork — nothing copied from existing characters or logos — and each one is manually reviewed before it goes live. Tesil is an independent creative site with no affiliation to Kakao or KakaoTalk.
What is a .ktheme file?
.ktheme is a theme file format read by KakaoTalk on iPhone (iOS). When you select pieces on Tesil and click 'Create', it is generated instantly inside the browser. Since Android KakaoTalk cannot read this format and uses .apk app packages instead, Tesil builds a separate installable .apk for Android.
How do I apply the created KakaoTalk theme?
On iPhone, opening the received .ktheme file launches KakaoTalk. Go to More > Settings > Themes and select the newly added theme to apply it. On Android (including Galaxy), install the received .apk file and choose the theme from the same menu path.
Can I make a KakaoTalk theme on Galaxy or Android phones?
Yes. Both iPhone and Android are supported. For Android, a signed .apk file is provided for direct download, so you don't need to build it yourself using development tools. The same applies to Galaxy.
Can I download both the iPhone and Android versions?
Yes. You can create an iPhone .ktheme and an Android .apk separately by keeping the same configuration of pieces and changing only the platform. However, this feature does not convert existing theme files into another format. Tesil does not open theme files made by others; it builds each format from scratch based on the configuration of pieces.
Can I create a KakaoTalk theme using my own photos?
Yes. If you upload a photo on the image editing page, you can crop and fit it to the recommended sizes for the background, speech bubbles, and profile slots. You can also remove the background on the spot. The created pieces can be mixed and matched with original pieces.
Do I need to install any apps or programs?
No — everything happens right in your browser, no app install needed. The iPhone file (.ktheme) is generated instantly in your browser; the Android file (.apk) needs signing, so only the colors and images are sent encrypted and deleted immediately after.
