Privacy Policy

Tesil (the "Service") takes your privacy seriously. Tesil runs without sign-up or login, and we do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number ourselves. We do, however, let a third party (Google) use cookies and similar automatic tools for traffic analytics and advertising. This policy explains that.
1. What is collected
- Collected by us: nothing. The Service does not ask you to enter personal information through sign-up, login, or a contact form.
- Collected automatically by a third party: cookies, device and browser information, IP address, and records of your visits and activity may be collected through Google Analytics 4 and Google AdSense.
- Stored in your browser: the "theme basket" you fill is kept only in your browser's localStorage and is never sent to a Tesil server.
- When you build an Android theme: an Android theme (.apk) cannot be built in the browser, so the colors and images you pick are sent to Tesil (Pong)'s build server to be compiled into the theme file. The transmitted data is deleted immediately after processing and is not stored or logged on the server. (The iPhone .ktheme is built entirely in your browser, so nothing is sent.)
- When you use background removal: the photo editor's "remove background" cannot run in the browser, so the one photo you upload is sent to Tesil (Pong)'s processing server and comes back with the background separated. The photo is deleted immediately after processing and is not stored or logged on the server. If that server is temporarily unavailable, the same step is handled by Cloudflare, our infrastructure provider, under the same rule — deleted immediately, never stored. (If you do not use background removal, your photo never leaves your device.)
2. Why it is used
- To understand how the Service is used and to improve its quality (traffic statistics) — Google Analytics 4
- To serve and optimize ads — Google AdSense
Tesil does not process personal information for membership management, marketing messages, or profiling.
3. How long it is kept
- We store no personal information on Tesil servers.
- Images and colors sent to build an Android theme are deleted immediately after the theme file is generated and are not retained.
- A photo sent for background removal is deleted immediately after processing and is not retained — the same applies when the fallback (Cloudflare) handles it.
- Google Analytics data follows Google's own retention settings (for example, 14 months) and the cookie's expiry.
- Your browser's localStorage (the theme basket) stays on your device until you delete it.
4. Third parties, processors, and transfers abroad
For analytics, advertising, Android theme building, and background removal, Tesil has data processed as described below. Cookie-based data for analytics and advertising may be stored and processed outside Korea, including in the United States. Android theme builds and background removal run on Tesil's own servers in Vietnam, where the data is processed transiently and deleted immediately — it is never stored. Only while that server is unavailable, background removal is handled by Cloudflare (outside Korea) and the Android build by Tesil's backup server in Korea; the same rule applies there — deleted immediately after processing, never stored.

5. Cookies and personalized ads
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site or to other sites. You can manage cookies and personalized advertising in these ways:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (some features may then be limited)
- Turn off Google personalized ads: Ad Settings · aboutads.info
- In the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, and similar regions, a consent management platform (CMP) means advertising and analytics cookies do not run until you consent.
6. Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop its processing. Because no information identifying you is stored on Tesil servers, in most cases deleting your browser's cookies and stored data resolves it immediately.
7. Children under 14
Under Korean law, a child under 14 needs the consent of a legal guardian to use the Service. Tesil does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.

9. Where to complain
Tesil is operated from the Republic of Korea. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you can turn to these Korean authorities:

If this policy changes, we will post the effective date and what changed on this page.
