Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Pong Studio ("pongvn", "we", "us"), an independent studio operating from Vietnam, handles information when you use our websites and web tools (collectively, the "Sites"):

By using the Sites, you agree to this policy. Mobile games we may release are governed by their own policies shown in the relevant app store listing.

The short version

  • You can use everything on the Sites without creating an account.
  • Most tools run in your browser; a few clearly labeled tools process your file on our server transiently and delete it immediately after returning the result.
  • We use analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) and advertising (Google AdSense). In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, none of these store cookies until you consent.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Information you give us

  • Launch updates (subscribe form) — your email address, your language preference, and the page you subscribed from. Stored in our database (Cloudflare D1) and used only to send you the updates you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in an email or by contacting us.
  • Contact form / email — your name, email address, and message. Stored in our database so we can respond, and relayed to our inbox by an email delivery service.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — pages visited, approximate region, device and browser type, and interaction events (e.g. which tool was used). Used in aggregate to understand and improve the Sites. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
  • Session replay & heatmaps (Microsoft Clarity) — anonymized recordings of how pages are used (mouse movement, scrolling, clicks). Text you type into sensitive fields is masked by Clarity by default. We use this to find usability problems. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
  • Advertising (Google AdSense) — see the next section.
  • Server & security logs — our host and CDN (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses and request metadata to serve pages, prevent abuse, and keep the Sites secure.

Your tool inputs and files

  • In-browser processing (default) — most tools (calculators, converters, editors, games) run entirely in your browser. What you type or load into them is processed on your device and is not sent to our servers.
  • Saved settings — some tools remember your inputs or preferences in your browser's local storage, on your device only. Clearing your browser data removes them.
  • Transient server processing — a small number of tools that need server-side work (for example image background removal or certain file conversions/builds) upload your content to our server, process it, return the result, and delete it automatically right after processing. We do not keep copies, and we never use your files for anything else.
  • Reference data lookups — some tools fetch reference data from our server (e.g. currency exchange rates). These requests do not include your personal content.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Sites working, measure usage, and display advertising provided by third parties, including Google AdSense.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies — including cookies set from google.com, googlesyndication.com and doubleclick.net — enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to the Sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
  • For the advertising vendors Google may use, see Google's ad technology providers.
  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Consent under the GDPR (EEA, UK & Switzerland)

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting advertising or analytics cookies. Consent is collected through a Google-certified Consent Management Platform that complies with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF v2.2), and we apply Google Consent Mode v2 — no advertising or analytics storage is used until you agree, and Microsoft Clarity honors the same choice. You may withdraw consent at any time using the button below or by emailing us.

How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Sites and tools.
  • To send launch updates you requested (unsubscribe any time).
  • To respond to your messages and support requests.
  • To display and measure advertising, which keeps the Sites free.
  • To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.

Legal bases (GDPR)

  • Consent — advertising/analytics cookies in the EEA/UK/CH; email updates.
  • Legitimate interests — running and securing the Sites, measuring aggregate usage where consent is not required, and answering messages you send us.
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information by law.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make the Sites work, under their own privacy commitments:

  • Google — analytics (GA4) and advertising (AdSense) · policy
  • Microsoft — Clarity session analytics · policy
  • Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, security, and our subscriber/contact database · policy
  • Email delivery — relaying contact-form messages to our inbox.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the Sites and their users.

International transfers

We operate from Vietnam and our service providers process data globally (including in the United States and the EU). Where required, transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual protections.

Retention

  • Subscriber emails — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
  • Contact messages — as long as needed to handle your request.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics event data up to 14 months; Clarity recordings are retained by Microsoft for approximately 30 days.
  • Files sent for server-side processing — deleted automatically immediately after processing; we keep no copies.
  • Server/security logs — kept briefly by our infrastructure providers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] — we respond to verified requests within a reasonable time. If you are in the EEA or UK you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" as those terms are defined by the CCPA. We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. Serving personalized advertising may count as "sharing" under the CPRA, so you can opt out at any time using the consent controls above, the Google Ads Settings link, or by emailing us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Children

The Sites are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

All traffic to the Sites is encrypted (HTTPS). Data we store is kept with reputable providers with access limited to what is needed to operate the Sites. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the small amount of personal data we handle.

Third-party sites and social platforms

The Sites link to third-party websites and we maintain official profiles on social platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads and similar). Those platforms process your data under their own policies; this policy covers only the Sites.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be highlighted on the Sites.
